BBC One explores the unusual relationship between two teenage brothers in a new 90 minute drama airing next Sunday, 2nd September.
Coming Down The Mountain, the first TV drama written by award-winning novelist Mark Haddon (The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time), looks at the lives of brothers David and Ben.
Ben’s Down Syndrome means the family’s world revolves around him while David’s needs are unwittingly neglected by their parents. When the family decide to relocate from London David finds himself loosing new-found love, friends and his school.
His antipathy to Ben grows and grows to the point where he decides to push him off a mountain and get rid of him once and for all.
The film stars Nicholas Hoult (Skins, About A Boy) as David and Tommy Jessop as Ben. Earlier this month Jessop appeared in an episode of BBC One’s Holby City.
