Radio Times Guide to Films 2009

September 18, 2008 - Martin Hoscik@seenituk

Radio Times Guide to Films 2009Boasting more than 22,000 reviews over 1,600 pages, the Radio Times Guide to Films 2009 is an impressively weighty tome.

As well as reviews, the book contains separate sections for directors, actors, alternative titles, awards and a list of four and five star films.

Separating the first four of these from the reviews has helped ensure the review section is a clear, easy to read guide which lists  BBFC ratings, DVD, Blu-ray and HD availability alongside the reviews.

The actors section will help those ‘oh what was the name of the film X was in’ moments and even in these days of internet based film guides it’s always likely to be quicker to pull a book off the shelf than boot up your laptop and get online.

The market’s full of film guides but there are very few (decent) British ones and it’s probably not too contentious to assert that the Radio Times guide is the best of the British crop.

The Radio Times Guide to Films 2009 is available in your favourite bookshop from 25th September and can be pre-ordered from the seenit.co.uk store.
