Research suggests it’s ‘too late’ for Windows tablets

November 29, 2011 - Staff@seenituk

Microsoft may have left it too late to enter the tablet sector according to research company Forrester.

Almost two years after the launch of Apple’s iPad and a host of Android rivals, Microsoft’s Windows 8 tablets are still not in the shops and aren’t expected to arrive until early next year.

Describing Windows as “a fifth-mover”, Forrester says its research shows interest among consumers dropped to 25% and warns “Microsoft has missed the peak of consumer desire for a product they haven’t yet released.”
