Robin Hood Gets Second Series

Jane Tranter, Controller of BBC Fiction, and BBC One Controller Peter Fincham have commissioned a second series of Robin Hood the BBC announced today.

Jonas Armstrong, Lucy Griffiths, Keith Allen and Richard Armitage will all be returning for a new 13-part series which will once again be written by Dominic Minghella and which starts filming in Budapest next spring.

ane Tranter paid tribute to the cast saying "e;Keith Allen’s captivating portrayal of the menacing Sheriff coupled with the great performances from our young cast headed up by Jonas Armstrong equals compelling drama."e;

BBC One boss Fincham said the series had been "e;a big hit with family audiences"e; adding that he was "e;thrilled that we have a new series to look forward to next year."e;

Foz Allan, Executive Producer, Tiger Aspect, said the company was "e;delighted"e; to have a second run.
