BBC Director-General Mark Thompson has praised BBC Wales for their success with Doctor Who and Torchwood and held the shows up as a benchmark for other BBC units to meet.
Speaking to the icWales site Thompson said he was “sure we will be seeing more series of both Doctor Who and Torchwood.”
Highlighting the corporations plans for regional production Thompson said he wanted to “boost network output from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland from 13% to 17.5% of all productions.”
