Torchwood Media Coverage

October 19, 2006 - Staff@seenituk

The mainstream media have been busy covering Torchwood.

The Manchester Evening News warns the show “is definitely not one for the Time Lord’s younger fans” while The Stage claims the show “has all the air of a (cautious) hit.”

Speaking to BBC.co.uk series creator Russell T Davies discusses his pride in Cardiff saying he “wanted it to look like a city does in an American show.

They aren’t ashamed about putting what they’ve got on the screen. That’s what I wanted to achieve.”

In a second article the site also discusses the more adult nature of the series with Davies warning “if you are watching with a child, get out of the room.”

Finally icWales reports from the celebrity packed premiere which was attended by David Tennant and Billie Piper as well as the stars of the new show.
