With much thanks to Penguin…

May 20, 2011 - Martin Hoscik@seenituk

The Secret Pilgrim is back out thanks to Penguin
Last month I lamented the gaps in ebook ranges, specifically a number of John Le Carre’s George Smiley books which had vanished from stores despite having initially been available as part of a matching collection.

It seems the titles disappeared because of a change of publisher and at the time I expressed the hope that Penguin, who are taking over the publishing of Le Carre’s work, would be:

“…aware that the delisting of the previous edition has disrupted potential customers and ensure the books are back on the market as speedily as possible..”

Well hurrah for Penguin!

Both The Secret Pilgrim, the final book in the series and the one I’m missing, and the second book in the run, A Murder of Quality, are now listed as pre-order titles in iBooks and will be available from next week.

I very much doubt my whinge had anything to do with the publication dates – my ego isn’t really that large – but it’s still nice to be able to express some thanks to Penguin for getting the books back out on sale in such a short period of time.
