Doctor Who fans looking forward to Matt Smith’s debut in Doctor Who have been treated to a glimpse of the future with the unveiling of the shows new logo.

Filming has commenced on the third and final series of Ashes To Ashes with producers promising a “compelling” finale which will finally reveal Gene Hunt’s secrets and answer the question: ‘Does anything tie Alex Drake and Sam Tyler together?’

Acclaimed comedienne Victoria Wood is to return to TV this Christmas with an hour-long special airing on BBC One which will see her reunited with long-term collaborator Julie Walters.

A new series featuring daredevils pushing themselves to the limit starts on Channel 4 tonight (Monday 14th September). Featuring one daredevil per episode, the series opens with Jeb Corliss attempting to fly down the Matterhorn in Switzerland in a winged Teflon suit, within five feet of the jagged cliff face.

ITV has recommissioned the Rupert Penry-Jones drama Whitechapel for a second, three-part run. The second series deals looks at the brutality of the Krays and the the faded glamour of the East End during their reign.
