  • New dramas from BBC Wales

    Two new dramas from BBC Wales are to be guided by seasoned TV writers Tony Jordan and Russell T Davies, it was announced on Tuesday. Crash! and The Fabulous Baker Boys will hit the screens in primetime slots in 2009 and 2010 and benefit from creative input from Jordan and Davies respectively.

  • Triffids remade for BBC One

    The BBC has announced it is to remake another sci-fi legend, with John Wyndham’s post-apocalyptic novel The Day Of The Triffids following Doctor Who and Survivors onto the BBC One schedules.

  • Rowan Atkinson heads up Blackadder documentary

    BBC One is to screen a 90 minute documentary this Christmas to mark the success and 25th anniversary of comedy series Blackadder. Cast and crew, including Rowan Atkinson, will discuss their involvement in the show which ran for four series in the 1980’s.

  • Caine and Moore star in new thriller

    Twenty four years after they appeared together in Blame it on Rio, Demi Moore and Michael Caine star in Flawless, a new thriller from director Michael Radford (The Merchant of Venice, Il Postino, White Mischief, 1984) which arrives in cinemas next week.

    Bosses at Freesat have confirmed that the fledgling free-to-air service is finally to terrestrial channel Five from Tuesday November 18. The channel was initially unavailable to the service at launch and was only available to viewers of Sky’s satellite TV service.
