    Amazon UK is extending its Prime membership scheme to include access to the firm’s Lovefilm movie & TV streaming service. Amazon Prime members already benefit from free next day delivery on many items as well as a 500,000 title Kindle book lending library.

    Sony sells more than 5.3m PlayStation 4 consoles

    Sony says it has sold more than 5.3 million PlayStation 4 consoles around the world as of February 8th. Launched at the end of last year, the PS4 has reportedly outsold it’s rival, Microsoft’s Xbox One thanks to its lower price.

  • LEGO The Hobbit key art released

    Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the first preview ‘key art’ for its upcoming LEGO The Hobbit. Available this Spring, the game will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360,  PlayStation 4,  PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Windows PC.

    Sony says global sales of Killzone: Shadow Fall, available exclusively for its PlayStation 4 console, have now exceeded 2.1 million units. The company has previously announced PS4 sales of 4.2m, suggesting that around half of all console owners have bought the title.

    Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners can now download four new maps for Call of Duty: Ghosts plus the the all-new “Maverick” dual-purpose Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle and Episode 1 of Nightfall, the first instalment in Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction’s four-part episodic story that follows humankind’s first contact with the Cryptids.

    UK retailers Zavvi and The Hut have cut the price of Microsoft’s new Xbox One games and entertainment console. According to some reports, Sony’s rival Playstation 4 has been outselling the Xbox One by a ratio of three to one.
