Starring Ken Nwosu (Christopher Robin, Killing Eve, An Octoroon at the National Theatre) in the lead role of Thomas Benson, the three-part psychological drama is focused on the competitive world of middle management.

Written by William Ivory (Made in Dagenham, Burton and Taylor, Common as Muck), Torvill and Dean (1 x 120) stars Will Tudor (Humans, Shadowhunters, Mr Selfridge) as Dean and Poppy Lee Friar (Ackley Bridge, Eve, In the Club) as Torvill.

Billed as a “lavish new drama series,” the eight-hour series will be produced for the channel by Red Planet Pictures with co-production partners, MASTERPIECE based on Austen’s original 11-chapter fragment.

The actor, who starred in Rocky, Universal Soldier and The Expendables blockbusters as well as upcoming films Aquaman and Creed 2, will challenge some of the toughest members of the public to a combination of physical challenges and quiz questions.

Blethyn is joined in the first episode by an ensemble cast which includes former Doctor Who star Peter Davison, James Atherton (Coronation Street, Porters), Jodie McNee (Britannia, Little Boy Blue), Adrian Lukis (Collateral, The Crown) and Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones, Three Girls).
