November 27, 2012 - Staff@seenituk

Paramount Pictures has released the plot synopsis for Star Trek Into Darkness, the sequel to J.J. Abrams’ 2009 hit Star Trek reboot.

Earlier this month it was announced the film’s first 9 minutes will be released exclusively in IMAX 3D theatres beginning December 14th.

“When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

“With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.

“As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.”

Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Zoe Saldaña as Uhura, Karl Urban as Dr McCoy, Anton Yelchin as Chekov, John Co, as Sulu, Simon Pegg as Scotty and Benedict Cumberbatch as the unnamed villain.
Noel Clarke,[ Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Joseph Gatt, Nazneen Contractor, Anjini Taneja Azhar[ and Nolan North also appear.
