Star Trek legend William Statner has returned to play Captain Kirk, this time on the sofa as the actor teams up with a Gorn to try out the new Star Trek The Video Game.

The duo first clashed in the 1967 episode Arena, but put aside their differences for some two-player co-op console action.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as planned at the pair soon found themselves taking the action off the screen and into the lounge.

The game is based on a stand-alone storyline that continues the adventure of iconic characters Kirk and Spock as they work together to stop the legendary Gorn race bent on conquering the galaxy.

Seenit.co.uk has already been treated to a sneak preview and some hand-on time with the game, read our initial thoughts here.

Star Trek The Video Game will be available from April 26th on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation3 and can be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk.
