BBC World Service launches Ukrainian language news bulletin

A new Ukrainian language BBC News bulletin is now being broadcast on local channel, Hromadske TV.

Broadcast live from London at 22.00 local time (20.00 GMT) on weekdays, the bulletin includes coverage of Ukrainian and global developments and is also available via the bbc.ua website and the BBC News Ukraine YouTube channel.

The bulletin is produced by the BBC World Service and is part of a UK-Governent funded expansion across Africa, Asia and Europe.

BBC News Ukraine Editor Nina Kuryata comments: “This launch is a landmark for the BBC’s offer in Ukrainian.

“We are happy that, through our collaboration with Hromadske TV, we will be able to provide its viewers – as well as the BBC’s digital audiences – with our regional and global reporting and analysis.”
