Booken announced Cybook Orizon reader

eBook reader manufacturer Booken has unveiled a new, ultra-thin model – the Cybook Orizon – which boasts WiFi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Booken say a unique new touch technology means users need only gently touch the screen with their finger to control the device and keep reading it like on paper.

The 6″ device weighs just 8oz, measures 4.9” x 7.4” x 0.3” and supports Adobe ePub / PDF (native or DRM-protected), TXT, HTML files and image formats JPEG, GIF and PNG. The ePaper display offers a resolution of 167 dpi and 16 levels grayscale. The built-in Accelerometer offers automatic screen orientation, enabling both portrait and landscape use.

The Orizon is expected to hit stores later this year.
