eBook reader manufacturer Bookeen says the rate of take-up for the format is forcing it to revise upwards its sales forecasts for Europe and North America.
The comments come as the firm prepares to announce new products next year follows a research giant Forrester’s recent revision of its growth projections for the eReader market by 50%.
Bookeen co-founder Michael Dahan says: “We too will need to revise our sales forecasts for Europe and North America. Bookeen’s Cybook Opus is increasingly appearing as a great gift for Christmas. This success can also be explained by the growing number of best-selling authors now opting for digital formats.”
The company will be announcing new products at the 2010 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) show to be held next month.
