May 7, 2019 - Staff@seenituk

Freesat viewers can now catch up on their favourite Horror Channel, CBS Reality, CBS Justice and CBS Drama programmes direct from their set top boxes following the arrival of the Horror Bites and CBS Catchup Channels UK on-demand players.

Owned by the CBS AMC UK Channels Partnership, a joint venture between AMC Networks International and CBS Studios International, the channels offer a mix of popular shows such as Judge Judy, Star Trek Enterprise and Murder by the Sea.

The CBS on-demand players join existing services including BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and My5, as well as optional pay services including Netflix and Rakuten TV.

Tanya Gugenheim, SVP, Business Development, AMC Networks International said, “Launching Horror Bites and CBS Catchup Channels UK on Freesat underscores the demand for our acclaimed drama, true crime and entertainment content and will enable us to attract even bigger audiences in the months ahead.

“We’re excited to partner with Freesat and look forward to delivering a diverse lineup of programming subscription free to UK audiences.”

Commenting on the launch, Angie Mee, Head of Content Partnerships at Freesat said: “The new addition of these two catch-up players to our already growing TV platform is fantastic.

“At Freesat, we pride ourselves on our extensive channel portfolio, as well as providing our two million households with the very best in entertainment, for free.

“The launch of Horror Bites and CBS Catchup Channels UK further reinforces our commitment to deliver the very best free-to-air content, across every genre, to our customers.”
