Not Going Out’s airdate confirmed

Lee Mack’s hit sitcom Not Going Out returns to BBC One next month. Many by Avalon Television, the new run follows on from last year’s hugely popular Christmas Special which saw recently married Lee and Lucy (Sally Breton) have their first child.

Fast-forward seven years and baby Charlie now has five year old twin siblings, Benji and Molly.

The new series reveals how Lee has survived these dramatic life-changes and how the the not-so-new parents find the joy/relentless onslaught of bringing up kids.

If this challenge wasn’t enough for them to contend with, they also have to negotiate with some tricky family members in the form of lovably feckless father, Frank (Bobby Ball), and friends Toby (Hugh Dennis) and uptight ice-queen Anna (Abigail Cruttenden).

At least Lucy’s more dependable parents are on hand, but what exactly do Geoffrey (Geoffrey Whitehead) and Wendy (Deborah Grant) make of Lee and Lucy’s often mad house?

Not Going Out returns to BBC One, week commencing January 9th
