Skyfall takes more than £100m at UK box office

Laying Quad_AW_[23989] SkyfallJames Bond producers toasted the New Year with the news that Skyfall, the 23rd film in the 007 cinema series, has become the first film to take more than £100m at the UK box office.

Skyfall sees Daniel Craig reprise the role of James Bond 007 alongside Judi Dench as M, Ben Wishaw as Q, Javier Barde, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney.

Bond’s loyalty to M (Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her.  As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

At the cinema the film has now taken £100,460,679 in the UK and generated more than $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide.
