Alan Davies returns to BBC One for a new feature-length Jonathan Creek special

Jonathan Creek Alan Davies is returning to BBC One for the “the spookiest episode ever” of Jonathan Creek.

The actor and comedian says his character “himself in real danger” in the 90 minute special which sees Creek investigating the secrets of a 19th century house.

Shane Allen, Controller, Comedy Commissioning promised viewers “another sublime and intricately conceived treat from David Renwick.”

“You can see the influence of David’s unique blend of dark comedy and crime drama across television since the debut of this show nearly 20 years ago, as it remains a pioneering class act and evergreen favourite with the audience.”

Starring alongside Davies are Sarah Alexander as Jonathan’s wife Polly, Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Life’s Too Short), Emun Elliot (The Paradise, Game Of Thrones), Ken Bones (Dr Who, Atlantis), Rosalind March (Calendar Girls, The Evermoor Chronicles), Jason Barnett (Agatha Raisin, Bad Education) and Jo Martin (Still Open All Hours, Doctors)
