Amazon confirms The Grand Tour’s air time and the good news is, there’s only one more sleep to go

November 16, 2016 - Martin Hoscik@seenituk

If, like us, you don’t go to bed before midnight, Amazon has some VERY good news for you – you have only one more sleep until The Grand Tour makes its long awaited, much anticipated debut.

By now you know the show sees former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May back in front of the cameras for an Ultra High Definition mix of cars, gags and cocking around.

Rather than a static location the gang have, as the name implies, taken their new show in the road. Episode one’s studio sequences were filmed in California with episodes 2, 3 and 4 set in Johannesburg and Whitby.

The series will also visit Stuttgart, Loch Ness, Whitby, Lapland and Nashville before ending its year long journey in Dubai.

The Grand Tour will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video – including in 4K – from November 18th for anyone with an Amazon Prime subscription or standalone monthly subscription to the Prime Video service.

On Wednesday night Amazon confirmed that episode 1 will launch at 00.01 on Friday meaning that if you don’t go to bed before midnight on Thursday you only have one more sleep until the show’s debut.

Amazon Prime Video can be accessed on selected Smart TVs, via smartphone and tablet apps and via Amazon’s Fire TV stick and Fire TV.
