An Idiot Abroad DVD

November 19, 2010 - Staff@seenituk

Fresh from Sky One, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s latest show An Idiot Abroad comes to DVD this month.

If you’ve somehow managed to miss this show during its TV run, the pair take a break from sitcom writing to send collaborator Karl Pilkington around the globe to “force him out of his comfort zone” as he encounters the ‘seven wonders of the world’.

Alongside the eight episodes are extras The Preview Show in which Gervais and Merchant discuss the catalyst for the show and Pilkington protests his naivety and unworldliness, some deleted scenes and a photo gallery.

This release potentially makes a great Christmas present for anyone who enjoyed the series and might like to watch it again but the extras feel pretty sparse and, given the potential for TV repeats, don’t really propel it onto the ‘must buy’ list.

An Idiot Abroad is available now on DVD and Blu-ray and can be ordered from the seenit.co.uk store.
