Classic cop drama The Bill goes online

Classic episodes of The Bill are to go online, allowing fans to relive the iconic police drama starting with the very first episode, Woodentop.

Created and written by Geoff McQueen, Woodentop introduced audiences to newly qualified PC Jim Carver (Mark Wingett) and WPC June Ackland (Trudie Goodwin).

The pair appeared in the series for much of its 26 year run.

Series producers talkbackTHAMES are making the series available on YouTube from 19 March 2013, with a new episode being uploaded each week
