To mark the start of filming, ITV has released this brand new image from the set of Birds of A Feather.

The series, which originally aired on BBC One between 1989 and 1998, stars Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson as sisters whose husbands have been jailed for armed robbery.

In June ITV announced it was revving the classic 1990’s sitcom after the BBC failed to commit to a full series.

Both Quirke and Robson will return for the new 8-part series alongside fellow original cast member Lesley Joseph who plays man crazy neighbour Dorian.

The show is being written by series creators Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran plus Gary Lawson and John Phelps and is being produced by rights holders FremantleMedia and QuirkyMedia.
