Filming is due to start this week on the long-awaited sequel to The Inbetweeners Movie.
The 2011 big screen follow-up to Channel 4’s sitcom took more than £57m at the box office, making it one of the UK’s most successful comedies of all time.
In August series creators Iain Morris & Damon Beesley said: “We couldn’t be more excited to be making another Inbetweeners movie with Simon, Joe, James and Blake. Frankly it’s pathetic how much we’ve all missed each other.
“A new chapter in the lives of the Inbetweeners feels like the very least we can do to thank the fans for their phenomenal response to the first movie.”
Filming for The Inbetweeners Movie 2 will start shooting in Australia on 7 December before moving to the UK next month.
Morris & Beesley said: “We can’t say too much as we don’t want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos.”
“Obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon providing they’re let into the country.”
The Blu-ray release of the original film was attracted high levels of complaints after Channel 4 opted to supply a low quality digital copy reliant on a third-party app instead of the more familiar iTunes copy.
