BT TV customers will get see Boxnation’s exclusive coverage of the anticipated Gennady Golovkin vs Canelo Alvarez showdown at no extra cost, the two broadcasters have confirmed.
The fight, which sees the pair go head-to-head in Las Vegas in the early hours of September 17th, is being shown PPV by BoxNation Box Office, with fans having to pay £16.95 to watch.
However BT subscribers will be able to watch at no extra cost – simply by tuning in to channel 415 – thanks to the firm’s multi-year tie-up with the Frank Warren owned boxing channel.
The perk only extends to those watching on a BT TV set top box, meaning Sky viewers who receive Boxnation free with their BT Sport pack will need to pay-up if they want to follow the action live.
BT TV customers will be able to see even more boxing on September 16th when its latest Fight Night takes place at the Copper Box where light-Heavyweight Anthony Yarde will face undefeated Canadian Ryan Ford for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental strap,
The night will also see WBO World Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders defend his belt against former World Title challenger Willie Monroe Jr.
