BAFTA nominated director Tom Harper (The Scouting Book for Boys, Misfits) is to helm Hammer’s The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, the sequel box office hit The Woman In Black.
Starring Daniel Radcliffe, The Woman In Black grossed $35m at the UK box office and over $130 worldwide, making it the highest grossing British horror film of the past 20 years.
Harper said he was “thrilled to be a part of The Woman in Black: Angel of Death”
Based on an original story by Susan Hill, film continues the story 40 years after the events in the first film and focuses on the experiences of a young couple when they encounter the haunted setting of Eel Marsh House.
The sequel is being developed by the same team behind the original and will be produced by Exclusive Media, Talisman, Cross Creek Pictures and Alliance Films. Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment will serve as Executive Producer.
