As series three of Game Of Thrones comes to a dramatic end, many will be wondering what’s next. Luckily, there seems to be a high demand for enticing, dramatic and enthralling TV hits.

With new releases occurring on a regular basis and many of these boasting exceptional performances, big names and great direction – staying at home appears to be the new going out.

Many contemporary homes now boast the likes of high definition, 3D TV’s, all of which are designed to bring the movie experience to the comfort of your own home. When watching a series such as the Game of Thrones, the quality and action are really brought to life.

Programmes such as Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom, Terence Winter’s Boardwalk Empire and Armando Iannucci’s Veep mean there’s little reason to leave the house. The numerous fast-paced dramas and uncontrollably humorous comedies coming to light are proving to be just as good as those hitting the big screen.

Game of Thrones received exceptional reviews and the first few series have earned HBO’s epic drama a firm following of fans. Taken from George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book A Song of Ice and Fire, the TV feature showcases an intense battle between the Seven Kingdoms, all of whom are fighting for the Iron Throne.

The impressive costumes and realistic backdrops make the ambitious characters appear as though they’ve stepped directly from the pages of Martin’s novel.

This series’ finale ended in devastation, which has only left us wanting more. A number of renowned characters came to a daunting end, whilst a host of new characters were introduced.

A great deal of role swapping also took place – proud figures became broken down figures while others bloomed.

Due to the rave reviews and an audience that tunes in every week, the last season’s film budget was the biggest yet.

We can certainly expect big things from season four, yet for those TV fanatics that missed the last series you can catch it on the Game of Thrones official site. The complete second series is also available on Blu-Ray with HBO Select.
