Spooks, BBC One’s acclaimed spy drama, is to return for an eighth series, it has been confirmed today.
Show bosses are keeping details of the new series under wraps until the current run ends next Monday but with the BBC only confirming returns for Ros and Lucas, some fans might be wondering what becomes of Harry next week.
Simon Crawford Collins, Executive Producer at Kudos, predicts “viewers will be shocked when this series ends with a sting in its tale.”
“As for next year…we’re currently working with our fantastic team of writers to predict the big stories for 2009 to keep Spooks’ prescience in these dramatically changing times.”
Hermione Norris who plays section chief Ros Myers, said she was “delighted to be joining the team again next year.”
Filming begins next March for a late 2009 transmission
