Disney and Lucasfilm have released the final official trailer for Star Wars: Rogue One.
Due for release on December 16th, the film is a standalone prequel to the 1977 original Star Wars and tells the story of a group of unlikely heroes who band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.
Star Wars: Rogue One stars Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, alongside Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Jonathan Aris and Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, a Rebel-owned Imperial enforcer droid.
It’s also been confirmed that Genevieve O’Reilly will reprise her role as Mon Mothma from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and that Darth Vader will appear with James Earl Jones reprising his role as the character’s voice.
