Stephen Fry will once again host the prestigious British Academy Film Awards when they return in February 2015 to celebrate the world’s best movies, performers and behind the scenes talent.

Next year’s show will be Fry’s tenth as host and will take place on 8 February 2015 at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.

The show is supported by headline sponsor EE and will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One in the UK with a carpet show on BBC Three and additional coverage from BAFTA online.

Fry said: “Hosting the Film Awards has always been a highlight of my year. The opportunity to help the Academy promote filmmaking and encourage cinema-going means a lot to me.

“I’ve met many heroes and had the honour of introducing many young talents that are now busy forging remarkable careers for themselves.

“Seeing the photos from each year back I can chart my bewildering changes in weight too…”

Award nominations will be announced on Friday 9th January.
