Apple boss Steve Jobs and “a team” of executives from the tech giant will next week unveil the next generation software for the company’s Mac and iOS product ranges.
As well as taking the wraps off Mac OS X Lion and iOS 5 – the operating system for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch – the company will also be sharing details of its new iCloud service, believed to be a streaming music product.
The new software will be revealed at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference in a keynote address on Monday, June 6. The conference will also include more than 100 technical sessions for developers presented by Apple engineers.
iOS 5 is expected to bring major changes to Apple’s iDevice range, with some rumours suggesting it will herald the arrival of widgets displaying live data from apps as already offered by Google’s rival Android operating system.
