Zinio comes to Amazon’s Kindle Fire

November 29, 2011 - Staff@seenituk

The Zinio app for iPad
Zinio’s digital magazine app is now available for Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet.

The free app can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore, giving users access to some of the best selling magazines in full colour.

The Fire is a tablet device running a customised version of Google’s Android operating system.

Zinio says it now available on more tablet devices than any other newsstand or magazine reader.

“There are more mobile phones and tablet devices in the USA than there are people, and we believe that the world will indeed have twice as many connected devices as people by 2015,” said Zinio President and CEO Rich Maggiotto.

“This should be and is a huge incentive for publishers to migrate swiftly to digital distribution. Our reach across all operating systems positions Zinio, and our publisher partners, to uniquely grow alongside the exploding device market.”
