BT launches new family mobile SIM plans

October 20, 2016 - Martin Hoscik@seenituk

BT Mobile has announced a new Family SIM tariff, offering families up to five SIMs for mobiles and tablets on one contract.

Available on the firm’s 2GB and 15GB SIM-only plans, the new service includes discounts for each additional sim, allowing families to pool their buying power and make annual savings of up to £372.

The first SIM purchased on the Family SIM deal will be subject a 12-month contract, with additional SIMs being available on 30-day, contract-free terms.

However there are restrictions – each additional SIM must be for the same tariff as the main account holder’s, meaning family members cannot mix and match the 2GB and 15GB plans.

John Petter, CEO, BT Consumer, said: “We believe our new Family SIM deal offers a simple way for households to purchase mobile services and is the best value deal on the market today.

“UK families will be able to make substantial savings on mobile bills, freeing up much needed household budget.”
