US crime drama Castle returns to British TV screens next week when the third series starts on UKTV’s crime drama channel, Alibi.
The show stars Nathan Fillion (Desperate Housewives, Firefly, Serenity) as Richard Castle, a famous mystery novelist who helps the NYPD homicide department solve crimes.
The series also stars Stana Katic as feisty NYPD Detective Kate Beckett who first met Castle while investigating a murder in which the description of a murder victim matches that of a victim in on of his best-selling novels.
As fans of the show will know, the first two series followed the ‘will-they-won’t they’ relationship between Castle and Kate, but the third series finds Beckett not having heard from the writer since he left for the Hamptons months ago to finish writing his second Nikki Heat novel.
So when Beckett and her team burst into a shadowy apartment on the trail of a murderer, the last thing they expect to see is the real-life Castle standing over a dead woman’s body holding a gun! As Castle protests his innocence, Beckett has no choice but to arrest him on suspicion of murder…
