Celebrity guests and half a reasonably priced car are coming to The Grand Tour

November 16, 2017 - Martin Hoscik@seenituk

Celebrity guests are set to feature on the second series of The Grand Tour, the show’s official Twitter account has revealed.

A video posted on social media shows series hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May receiving a call from Amazon bosses calling an end to the Celebrity Brain Crash feature from the first run.

A swipe at Chris Evans’ overlong celebrity interviews on Top Gear, the segment saw a procession of stars ‘killed off’ across the series but was frequently criticised by the trio’s fans for being obvious and unfunny.

Today’s video suggests the segment will be replaced by a new feature in which guests take on a motoring challenge involving a sawn in half car, similar to Top Gear’s Star In a Reasonably Priced Car.

However we have currently unanswered questions about the new segment’s name…

Are we calling this ‘Stars in half a reasonably priced car’ Or ‘Stars in a half reasonably priced car’ ?

The Grand Tour arrives on Amazon Prime Video on December 8th.

The service, which is free to Amazon Prime customers can be accessed on selected Smart TVs, mobile apps and via Amazon’s Fire TV stick and Fire TV and is also available with a stand-alone subscription.
