Channel 4 to debut new ‘Live from Space’ TV ad

Channel 4 has unveiled a new TV ad for its Live from Space season which airs next month.

As previously reported, the broadcaster has teamed up with NASA to screen a “groundbreaking” strand of space related programming, concluding with a live two-hour broadcast from the International Space Station and Mission Control in Houston.

Dermot O’Leary will host a trio of “hi-spec shows” produced by Arrow Media which Channel 4 promises will allow audiences to “get up close and personal with astronauts like never before”.

The ‘Go to space with Channel 4’ ad was created by British VFX company Framestore which on Sunday was crowned at the BAFTAs for its work on Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity.

Commenting on the ad, Chris Bovill and John Allison, Heads of 4Creative said:  “We wanted to remind people how being an astronaut is the most dangerous, insane, rock ‘n’ roll job on the planet.”
