Channel 4 has snapped up the UK rights to a the all-new Charlie’s Angels TV series produced by actress Drew Barrymore and Leonard Goldberg.
Along with Nancy Juvonen the pair also collaborated on the 2000 film version of the hit 1970’s series.
The format remains the same, three beautiful women solve cases for the exclusive Townsend Detective Agency while under the watchful eye of their handler, Bosley.
The new series stars Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor as the new angels and Ramon Rodriguez as Bosley.
Gill Hay, Head of Acquisitions for Channel 4, says: “Charlie’s Angels is a light-hearted, high-kicking romp with all the glitz, glamour and beautiful crimefighters you would expect from a US remake of the iconic original. E4 viewers can look forward to some hot Miami action as part of our brand new line up.”
