The much-anticipated revival of Dallas will screen in the UK on September 5th, Channel 5 today confirmed.

The series attracted a launch audience of almost 7m when it premiered in the US in June.

The 10-part series sees Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray reprise their roles of J.R., Bobby and Sue Ellen Ewing opposite Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe as J.R. & Bobby’s sons John Ross and Christopher.

Also joining the cast are Jordana Brewster as Elena, a girl involved in a love triangle with Ewing cousins, Julie Gonzalo as Christopher’s fiancée Rebecca and Brenda Strong as Bobby’s new wife Ann.

Ahead of the show’s return Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman will take viewers behind the scenes with two special documentaries.

The actor has been given “unparalleled access to both the Southfork Ranch and the downtown set” and Channel 5 are promising “the definitive Dallas fan experience” including interviews with series stars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray.
