The 75 minute adventure will be shown on November 23rd and teams 10th Doctor David Tennant with current incarnation Matt Smith and John Hurt as a mysterious former Doctor.
It also sees the return of Bille Piper who joins current companion Jenna-Louise Coleman, plus shape-shifting monsters the Zygons and the Doctor’s most infamous foes, the Daleks.
Earlier this week the broadcaster confirmed the special will air on BBC One and BBC One HD at 7.50pm on November 23rd, the exact date of the very episode in 1963.
It will also be shown in 3D at selected cinemas.
