EE has unveiled a new own-brand Android smartphone featuring what it bills as a “premium design” as well as support for 4G and WiFi Calling, plus ‘Cat 6’ capability meaning it can support 4G+ speeds up to 300Mbps.
The phone boasts a 5.0 inch display with a 1280 x 720 HD resolution, 13MP rear-facing and 8MP front-facing cameras plus a fingerprint scanner and NFC functionality, allowing owners to pay for goods and purchases via Android Pay.
A 1.5GHz Mediatek 6750 64-Bit Octacore processor and 2GB of RAM deliver all the power needed for running apps, playing games and multitasking, and the device also includes 16GB of internal memory, with the option of additional storage via a Micro SD card.
Available from £149 on pay as you go and from £14.99 on a 24-month pay monthly plan, the Hawk will be available instore, online and via EE telesales from 1st December.
EE firm says the wallet-friendly phone will make top-end features more accessible to all customers.
