EE will be first network to offer the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G smartphone

May 14, 2019 - Staff@seenituk

EE says it will be the first operator in the world to offer the OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone when its 5G service goes live this summer.

The phone’s specs include a new 90Hz QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display, capable of offering an ultra-responsive experience with smooth animations and vibrant colours, plus triple lens camera, and ‘Warp Charge’ – billed as “a faster and cooler way to charge a smartphone.”

EE’s 5G network will launch in the UK’s four capital cities – London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast – plus Birmingham and Manchester, with a further rollout in the busiest parts of ten more UK cities: Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry and Bristol later in 2019.

As part of the exclusive EE and OnePlus partnership, 50 of the first EE OnePlus 6T customers will be upgraded to a new OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and 5G plan – free of charge, before launch.

Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer division, said: “5G will provide a new era in connectivity on the move, giving customers the best mobile experience they’ve ever had, and opening up a whole new world of connected possibilities from AR to high definition video and gaming.

“We’re working with OnePlus, which – like EE – is a pioneer in its field, to exclusively offer the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G to our customers. Through our partnership, these customers will be there on the first steps of the UK’s amazing 5G journey.”

Pete Lau, CEO and founder of OnePlus, said: ““We constantly challenge ourselves to give people the best experience possible. A great user experience means freedom and should enhance your life instead of distracting you from it.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve built with the OnePlus 7 series, and can’t wait for people to try out the display.”
