Eurostar and GoMedia agree new deal for expanded on-board content offering

On-board entertainment firm GoMedia has won an expanded three-year contract to increase supply Eurostar’s onboard infotainment offer.

Officially launching on 1st August 2019, the content overhaul means passengers travelling between St Pancras International and mainland Europe will be able to watch hit movies such as Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Jurassic World, French title Belle et Sebastien, and Dutch film Zomer Zonder Mama (Summer with Rana).

More than 20 games will be available to play onboard, as well as a selection of Red Bull Studios including Cerro Torre – A Snowball’s Chance in Hell.

This array of choice for Eurostar passengers is made possible through GoMedia’s partnerships with major studios and media companies including Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures and Gaumont Film Company.

Sive Hughes, Digital Content Strategy Manager, Eurostar, says: “We are always looking to improve the customer experience, and our extended partnership with GoMedia will offer travelers a broader range of content to relax and unwind to whilst travelling at high-speed.”

Roger Matthews, managing director, GoMedia, adds: “Eurostar was one of our very first customers so we are extremely happy to be extending our relationship with them to enhance and develop the passenger experience.

“We are always looking for ways to extend the capabilities of our services by sourcing the latest films, TV shows, news and gaming, and look forward to extending our offering with Eurostar in the future.”

From late 2019, a range of lifestyle, business and fashion content will also be available, plus daily news and weather updates from French news channel France24.
