Ahead of the third season’s UK premiere on June 5th, AMC has renewed Fear the Walking Dead for a fourth season.
In the UK the hit zombie series is exclusive to BT TV where it airs on the AMC from BT channel.
BT and AMC recently announced that first half of series three will consist of eight episodes airing over six weeks, with two back-to-back episodes kicking off the run and second double-bill forming a mid-season finale on Monday 10th July.
The US drama network has now announced that the series will return at least one further run next year, when it will be helmed by Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg who join as co-showrunner alongside Scott M. Gimple, executive producer and showrunner of The Walking Dead who’ll become an executive producer of ‘Fear’.
“We’re very excited to continue the journey of ‘Fear The Walking Dead,’ and truly look forward to working with the talented team of Andrew Chambliss, Ian Goldberg, and Scott Gimple,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV.
“We are thrilled to be joining ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ and couldn’t be more excited to work alongside the wonderful team at AMC on this show,” said Chambliss and Goldberg.
“We love this universe and are truly honored to have the chance to contribute to it.”
