Grand Theft Auto V launch moved back to September

January 31, 2013 - Staff@seenituk

GTA-5Fans of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series will have to wait until September to get their hands on the franchise’s fifth instalment.

The game follows three characters with interconnected stories – former bank robber Michael who lives with his dysfunctional family on the proceeds of his former life in the upper-class suburb of Rockford Hills, Trevor, his former partner, who lives alone in a trailer in the desert of Blaine County, and Franklin who makes a living in Vespucci Beach as a repo man for an unscrupulous car dealership.

The three acquaintances are drawn into Los Santos’ criminal underworld in the “pursuit of the almighty American dollar”. Running out of options, the crew risks everything in a series of daring and dangerous heists that could set them up for life.

“Grand Theft Auto V continues to push the series forward in new ways; Rockstar North are creating our deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We are very excited for people to learn more about the game in the coming months.”

The game was originally expected to launch in the Spring. In a statement Rockstar said the September release would “allow additional development time.”

Grand Theft Auto V will be available for all major games platforms and can be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk.
