Hollywood star Dolph Lundgren to present new ITV game show

Hollywood action hero Dolph Lundgren is to present Take The Tower, a new ITV4 show which draws inspiration from classic Hollywood action movies to create a challenge show like no other.

The actor, who starred in Rocky, Universal Soldier and The Expendables blockbusters as well as upcoming films Aquaman and Creed 2, will challenge some of the toughest members of the public to a combination of physical challenges and quiz questions.

Contestants who manage to make their way to the top of the ‘tower’ will whisk their mates off on holiday.

This adrenaline packed series will tap into classic movie tropes, requiring toughness, brains and stamina. It’s high stakes with cash prizes up for grabs and the fear of one of the team being ‘toppled off the tower’.

Melanie Leach, Chief Executive of producers Twofour, said: “This is probably the most bonkers idea we’ve had the good fortune to make. But in the words of the A Team, it’s so crazy, it just might work.”

Paul Mortimer, ITV’s Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions said: “Take the Tower will anchor a night of new, original series this coming Autumn on ITV4 as we push forward with a commissioning strategy that puts male-skewed entertainment at the heart of Prime Time on the channel.”
