VEVO_TVVirgin Media has added music streaming service Vevo to its TiVo set top boxes in a move which significantly boots the amount of music content available to subscribers.

Vevo is the world’s leading music video service a catalogue of more than 20,000 artists and 250,000 videos, as well as original programming, exclusive sessions and live music performances.

Customers can create and access playlists, including those created on Vevo’s desktop or mobile and mobile apps and Virgin Media says the Vevo’s content will be available to all TiVo customers regardless of their package.

David Bouchier, Chief Digital Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, said:  “With music streaming doubling in the last year, Vevo will help meet customer’s hunger for music entertainment, increasing the quality and range of music available to TiVo customers.”

Alex Kisch, EVP, Business Development and Business Affairs, Vevo, said; “This partnership with Virgin Media is indicative of continued growth and popularity of premium music videos in the living room, and the integral role it plays in our daily music habits.

“Our content is now viewed over 16-billion times a month, and we are thrilled to be expanding our reach through this partnership.

“This move will enable Virgin Media customers to enjoy Vevo, in a dedicated area, giving them premium music entertainment directly from their set-top box.”
