New Torchwood audiobooks announced

May 26, 2009 - Staff@seenituk

BBC Audiobooks has announced the release of two new audio exclusive Torchwood titles, read by series stars Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd. Torchwood: In the Shadows is available to buy now and Torchwood: The Sin Eaters is available from June 18th, both priced at £12.72.

TORCHWOOD: IN THE SHADOWS
The Torchwood team are caught up in the deadly activities of a mysterious cab driver in this exclusive audio adventure, read by Eve Myles who plays Gwen.

When 24-year-old Steven Ballard is found dead, the police quickly realise that this no ordinary case – for his body is that of a man in his seventies. They call in Torchwood to investigate, and after another corpse is found, it becomes clear that something terrible is happening.

Someone is sending victims to a dark dimension, to be punished by the thing they fear most. Who is the shadowy taxi driver preying on his passengers? What significance do boxes of matches play in this mystery? And can Jack ever escape from his own personal hell?

Written specially for audio by Joseph Lidster, ‘In the Shadows’ features Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper, Owen Harper, Toshiko Sato and Ianto Jones, as played by John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Burn Gorman, Naoko Mori and Gareth David-Lloyd in the hit BBC series.

TORCHWOOD: THE SIN EATERS

Another terrifying adventure for the Torchwood team in this exclusive audio adventure, read by Gareth David-Lloyd who plays Ianto.

A mysterious corpse unleashes a world of horror when Jack, Gwen and Ianto find a body washed up on the beach. Something has kept him underwater since the 1950s, and something was living inside him…

Now alien larvae are spreading across Cardiff and ordinary people are turning into breeding grounds for a terrifying alien swarm. Torchwood must act fast as the aliens threaten to engulf the city. Can they find the source of the nightmarish aliens? And can Torchwood save Cardiff from destruction?

Written specially for audio by Brian Minchin, the Torchwood TV series assistant producer, ‘The Sin Eaters’ features Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones, as played by John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd in the hit series from BBC Television.
