Mobile firm EE was recently named one of the UK’s strongest brands – possibly defying those of use who expect the name to fade away after the firm’s bought by BT – but its marketing team seem to have scored something of an own-goal.
After a decade of subsiding the nation’s midweek cinema trips, the network dropped its Orange Wednesdays promotion citing changes in the wider entertainment market.
The buy-one-get one free perk was a key attraction for many subscribers, much as free sport is today for BT, so it’s not surprising some are a little miffed at its axing.
That dissatisfaction is now cheekily being exploited by EE’s rival O2 which is offering the first 200 people who send in their Orange SIM cards a free pair of cinema tickets.
To get your hands on a pair of our tickets, just pack up that sim and send it to us at EE sim rehoming, 260 Bath Road, Slough, SL1 4DX.
Stick a note in there with your name, address, date of birth and contact number, and if yours is one of the first 200 sims to arrive, we’ll send you a pair of cinema tickets off in the post. We’ve also got a little something planned for all these sim cards so stay tuned to @O2 on Twitter
