Electronics firm Olympus is celebrating after its LS-100 multi-track portable recorder was named best Field Recorder in this year’s mipa Musikmesse International Press Award 2013.
The award, which is bestowed annually during the internationally renowned Musikmesse Frankfurt, distinguishes the world’s best and innovative musical instruments and audio equipment in more than 40 categories.
Over 100 magazines from around the globe cast their votes in more 40 categories to select the winners.
The Olympus LS-100 is a professional grade device which offers Linear PCM (up to 96kHz/24bit) and MP3 file formats, overdubbing capabilities and up to 8 track multi-track recording.
It also boasts 4GB of internal memory, plus the ability to add more via the SD/SDHC/SDXC slot, USB 2.0 for high speed connectivity to your PC or Mac and a backlit LED display.
The metal housing measures just 70w x 159h x 33.5mm ensuring it will fit into the pocket while on the move.
